Members of the BeyHive were rushing to sell their
Coachella tickets earlier this week after it was announced that Beyoncé
would no longer be headlining — but lucky for Craigslist shoppers
everywhere, another epic musical artist is now slated to take Bey's
place.
According to Billboard,
Lady Gaga will officially replace Beyoncé as the Saturday headliner for
both weekends of Coachella in April 2017. As the source reports, the
festival's organizers were determined to find another female performer
to take Beyoncé's place after her doctor advised her to sit the shows
out due to her pregnancy — and as a result, Lady Gaga will be the first
female headliner at Coachella since Björk performed in 2007.
The Joanne star later took to Twitter on
Tuesday to confirm the announcement, sharing an updated photo of the
festival's line-up and writing, "Let's party in the desert!"
As previously reported, Beyoncé will instead
headline the festival in 2018 — but who knows? If you're lucky, maybe
she'll surprise Coachella attendees by busting out "Telephone" alongside
Mother Monster this year.
