Here's the general formula for every Game of Thrones
season: Introduce 10 new characters, kill five characters, divide
existing characters. What this equates to is about 60 different main
characters either dead or scattered across the expansive fantasy world.
After a riveting hour of watching a block of ice melt, HBO revealed
yesterday that Thrones Season Seven will return this summer. And now, Kit Harington has promised that Game of Thrones will finally bring some of these living characters together next season.
"They really focused it because less characters are
coming in, and they're focusing in on the existing ones, and there are
lots of people who cross paths, and that's something that I think the
audience has been waiting for for a long time," Harington told the Huffington Post.
It's true! Fans have been dying for some of these
loose ends to finally get tied up. The living Starks have begun to
reunite, and Daenerys is finally heading toward Westeros to join the
actual goddamn main plot of this show.
But, Harington also promised that fans will get something else they've been asking for: More Jon Snow!
"I
certainly did more this season than I've ever done. I think every actor
on it did more action, had more action, had more scenes," he said.
"They spent an increasing amount of money on less episodes, so it's
gonna be much bigger in scale, the CGI ... we're trying new things,
experimenting with new camera techniques. I think we're trying to break
boundaries and push past boundaries in these final two seasons."
Maybe Game of Thrones Season Seven will be worth the wait.
