Following the Forbes 2017 list of best paid actresses, the men's round-up has just been released - and the highest paid actor is Mark Wahlberg (yep, really). Even more notable is the fact that he earned an incredible $42 million more than the best paid actress - Emma Stone

The actor topped the list with an astonishing $68 million, closely followed by Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson with $65 million and Vin Diesel at $54.5 million. The full list of top 10 paid actors is as follows:

Wondering where the hell Wahlberg's huge pay check has come from? His soaring fees for Transformers: The Last Knight and Daddy's Home 2 are what tipped him over the edge. He also receives fixed compensation from some of his moveis, meaning even if they do not do well, he still benefits.
Last week's best paid actress list saw Emma Stone take position number one after her La La Land success with $26 million. Also in the top three were Jennifer Aniston ($25.5 million) and Jennifer Lawrence ($24 million).
It's worth pointing out that the lists are put together with all earnings considered, not just those made from actual acting jobs. Endorsements and advertising campaign deals are the real consideration.
