CHELSEA manager Antonio Conte has revealed he would have taken simply qualifying for the Champions League at the beginning of this season
Now the Italian can't quite believe he is on the cusp of a Premier
League and FA Cup double.
Conte is set to sign a new two-year deal worth around £9.6-a-million-year after tomorrow's Wembley final with Arsenal and said: “At the start, if you’d said we could qualify for the Champions League, I’d have signed.
"Then I found great players, and we were able to change our season.”
After the 3-0 defeat by Arsenal at the Emirates in September, things looked bleak for Conte. Instead, that turned out to be the game that changed their campaign as the manager switched their formation to 3-4-3 and never looked back, winning the Premier League by seven points.
