In what is not even close to the worst thing Donald
Trump said this week but is offensive nonetheless, the president called
Madonna “disgusting” during an interview with Sean Hannity
on Thursday.
“Honestly, she’s disgusting,” he said. “I think she hurt herself very badly. I think she hurt that whole cause.” Trump’s comments were in response to Madonna’s Women’s March speech, which was widely criticized for her ill-advised statement about “blowing up the White House.” Madonna later said that the remarks were taken “wildly out of context,” but the Secret Service took them seriously enough to investigate.
As the Daily Beast
points out, however, Donald Trump once felt Madonna was at least
slightly less “disgusting,” and gave her and then-husband Sean Penn
choice seats at a Mike Tyson fight. Then, a Trump spokesman named “John
Miller” (believed to be Trump himself) told People magazine
that “beautiful women” like Madonna “call him all the time.” At that
point, Madonna had called Trump a “wimp” in an interview, so “John
Miller” went on to say that Trump had “zero interest” in Madonna and any
reports otherwise were actually the result of Madonna being interested
in him. But please, "John Miller" — we all know the only men early '90s Madonna was interested in are Vanilla Ice and bullfighters
